What a difference a decade makes.
This past weekend marked the 10-year anniversary of Barack Obama's keynote speech at the Democratic National Convention.
A side-by-side look at the then-State Senator from Illinois compared to the current President Obama shows how much his hair has greyed.
Obama was the 42-year-old Democratic State Senator who was in the midst of his first U.S. Senate campaign when John Kerry asked him to speak at the convention.

He won wide acclaim for his speech -- as a national audience looked on -- which many cite as a major turning point in his political career.
As for Kerry, the decade difference is less pointed than that of Obama, with his grey hair turning an overall lighter hue.
Though Kerry didn't end up winning his presidential bid in 2004 (losing to then-President George W. Bush), Obama has since made him the Secretary of State.
